Annual Gathering

The BC Pipers’ Association is pleased to acknowledge
the financial assistance of the Province of British Columbia.
What: The BC Pipers Association Annual Gathering (also known as the “Indoor Meet”) is held on the Friday and Saturday of the Easter long weekend. The Friday features solo piobaireachd and Open drumming competitions, as well as a drumming workshop. Saturday events are the remaining solo events, a full band competition, and the Ceilidh afterward including some performances by the invited adjudicators.

2018 Annual Gathering

The 2018 BCPA Annual Gathering will be held on Friday and Saturday March 30 & 31, 2018 at a new venue, North Delta Secondary School, 11447 82nd Ave, Delta, BC, V4C 5J6.

The 2018 Annual Gathering online entry form is CLOSED however “early bird” priced tickets are available for purchase until March 26 on the Events page here.

Early Bird ticket prices are in the following table. Prices at the door will be higher. Cash and credit cards will be accepted for admission purchases and purchases at the Ceilidh.

Online Entries Only

Please note that all competition entries and their payments shall be done online for all competitions administered, managed and run by BCPA.

Hardcopy entry forms will not be offered and no cheques will be accepted as payment for entry fees.

Several bank gift cards, in Canada and the US, can be accepted by the BCPA’s online entry system. This method may be used by people who do not want to use their personal credit cards for online transactions and by pipe bands. A partial list of these bank gift cards is contained in the Information Document associated with the Annual Gathering online entry form.

2018 Interactive Demonstrations of Piping and Drumming
The 2018 Annual Gathering will include interactive demonstrations of piping and drumming for youth and adults interested in learning the instruments on the Saturday from 12 noon to 1 pm. A great way to become engaged in a very fulfilling passion.


2018 Performance Band Workshop
As in 2016 and 2017, the 2018 Annual Gathering will include a workshop for performance bands (non-competing bands) on the Saturday from 12 to 2 pm. Further details are in the Annual Gathering Information Guide here.

2018 All Instruments Session

As in 2016 and 2017, the 2018 Annual Gathering will include a jam session for pipers and drummers to perform pipe tunes on their instruments other pipe band instruments (e.g. small pipes, uilleann pipes, whistles, bodhrans, guitars, etc) on the Saturday from 12:15 to 1:45 pm.
