Archie was born on June 24th, 1933, in Kirkconnel Scotland. Growing up there and then living in Edinburgh with his wife Annette and 1st born son Bryan. They made the big move and immigrated to Vancouver.
Archie was very proud to have served in the Scots Guards from 1951 through to 1954. He was in the Guards during Queen Elizabeth’s II Coronation. He was also the Drum Major for the Port Moody, Triumph Street and Shrine Pipe Bands. One of his biggest moments was in 1988 when he was the Drum Major for the Seaforth Highlanders performing in the Edinburgh Tattoo, in his hometown.
He is survived by his wife Ann of 65 years, and 3 sons Bryan (Barbara), Glen (Kirsten) and Craig (Helena) and 4 grandsons Chris, Kevin, Alex and Max.
Due to COVID, a celebration of life hopefully to be held in 2021.
