The BC Pipers’ Association often receives requests for pipers and drummers for special performances such as weddings, funeral memorials, Remembrance Day ceremonies, charity fundraising runs, etc.

The BC Pipers’ Association’s policy is to encourage the request for pipers and drummers to perform for your events; however, we ask you to contact member pipers and drummers of pipe bands in our region at the link below. Many of which have a talented array of pipers and drummers appropriate to perform at such functions.

Those seeking adults to perform at such functions are encouraged to contact pipers, drummers and pipe bands that are members of our association here. The majority of our member pipers and drummers have many years of experience and will provide you with the musical selection that you are needing.

Maintaining a high standard of piping and drumming requires significant effort, time and funds. Many players will put the money the receive from your event right back into our craft to pay for instruction, uniform and instrument upkeep, travel to competitions at Highland Games across our region so providing compensation to the performers is expected and the minimum should be $150.

Performance fees are negotiated between the requestor and the performer(s). The more pipers and drummers you request the higher the performance fee will be required. Don’t expect to get 3 pipers for the price of 1, each has the same abilities and requirements to turn out dressed in Scottish attire ready to perform with their instruments as one alone.

Rates can vary depending on the requirements and expectations and can range from $150-$350 or more depending on the time, location, travel, parking and musical requests needed for your event.
