.| From November 11, 2000 United Scottish Cultural Centre, Vancouver. Grand Aggregate Awards Evening. In addition to the award winners, there were many 'thing' to photograph. The trophies are most impressive indeed. |
Here is a somewhat eclectic selection of photos from the
evening. (All photos here were taken by Bob Dunsire - please ask, if you wish to use one of these, it is not a problem, I would just like to know) |
 Rex Davidson (of the St. Andrews &
Caledonian Society of Vancouver ) gave some of the history of a few of the memorable
Grand Aggregate trophies. Many of them were created in the 1920s, in an era when this type
of amazing craftsman ship was not uncommon. |
 Donald MacDonald (also of the St.
Andrews & Caledonian Society of Vancouver ) presented the award to each winner.
(Perhaps I should not mention that moments after this photo, the top of this Grade 1
trophy fell to the floor - no damage, but a memorable moment!) |

trophy one will ever see - more silver than the Stanley Cup, Grey Cup, or any other cup
that you could name (I'd guess) - full size photo is 70K to show some of the detail on the
