Sunday
massed bands - it was hot, and the end of a long two days - but great fun. (two photos
pasted together) |
A
morning photo shoot (for some brand name fashion magazine), and they included many
different (band) kids too. Here Chris Hutchinson marches with the model (she seemed to get
a lot of attention.... for the obvious reason). |
Recognised
at Enumclaw as the youngest pipers were Alasdair Lee, and John Lee (cousins - both 8) When
interviewed on Saturday they answered .. "umm..... Canada?" to the question
"Where are you from?" (It was very cute) |
Visiting us from the WUSPBA, the Grade 3 Utah Pipe Band is seen here in their competition
circle. |
Visiting from Saskatchewan - the Grade 2 City of
Regina PB is seen (well the bass drum anyway) leaving the competition area. |
There
is nothing quite like counter marching in massed bands - after a season of practise they
finally seemed to get it right. |
Ever
wonder how they remember all that music? A secret unveiled - this photo shows the score
being written on the drum head - I bet the pipers are jealous. |
The traditional end of the season - the
massed SFUPB / RMMPB walk off. More than 110 members in just these 4 bands! (from the
left, two column each: SFU, RMM4, RMM, and RMM Sr.) |
