from the 2000 Annual Dinner

These  photos were taken Saturday March 11, 2000 at the BCPA Annual Dinner, held in the United Scottish Cultural Centre in Vancouver.

This year's Annual Dinner included the finals of the Professional Knockout contest, playing exhibitions by the Grade 1 aggregate winners of the winter  mini-gatherings, awards presented to all the mini-gathering aggregate winners (you'll find those in another photo album - coming soon),  and recognition of the SFU PB and RMM PB for their World Championship wins last year in Glasgow. A very full, and very enjoyable evening.

Piping finalists from the Professional Knockout held that evening - from the left - James MacHattie (2nd place), Colin Clansey (first place), Jori Chisholm, Alan Walters	Drumming finalists from the Pro Knockout also held that evening - Andre Tessier (left) and  Gregor Merry (on your right) surround this year's  winner Duncan Millar.
A photo to show a little sample of the venue. A large group was present, at least 30 tables for dinner. Up front is the Grade 1 piping aggregate winner,  playing a short exhibition - although you can just see her (Alison Dunsire).	A very happy Jack Lee, Reid Maxwell and Terry Lee hold the photo that will be displayed at the Scottish Cultural Centre to commemorate the SFU PB's (third) 1999 World Pipe Band Championship.
