DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Due to the enthusiastic responses of those who attended the December piobaireachd seminar, the BCPA has decided to offer a series of short, informal piobaireachd seminars open to all players, teachers and adjudicators .  The first of these will be will be held on Saturday, January 12, from 10:30 to 11:15 am at Pitt River Middle School, 2070 Tyner Road, Port Coquitlam, BC (Mini-Gathering site).=0D=0A=

 The two guest instructors will be James W. Troy and Alan Bevan.  The guest instructors will discuss 2 to 3 tunes appropriate to pipers of all levels, with a focus on the structure of each tune, points of style and common pitfalls to avoid.  Our intention is to offer something that will be of great practical value to players, teachers and adjudicators. =0D=0A=

 As mentioned, the BCPA intends to offer a series of these seminars, so stay tuned for details.  The next piobaireachd seminar (with different instructors covering different tunes) will be held at the February 9 Mini-Gathering. =0D=0A=

 Registrants from outside Greater Vancouver can select to attend one of four teleconference sites (Penticton, Seattle, or Portland) that will be linked in with the main site at the Mini-Gathering venue.  Details on the addresses of the teleconference sites will be published shortly.=0D=0A=
